J.T. - because you have to every so often

21-15-9
HSPU - piked, feet on a 24" bx
Ring dips - feet on a 20" box
Push-ups - had to go to hands on the 20" box 7 reps into the first round

14:56

I knew it was going to be bad, but this was just dreadful

Lynette gleefully told me I had a CrossFiit smile on my face while in mid-pushup, you know, the grimace of pain and exhaustion.

I told her F.U.J.M.

Well I wasn't going to tell my wife to do that and Jeff's used to it.

HSPU progression - feet on a 20" box
Ring dips
Push-ups

This was the only hero workout I could do indoors, it's raining again here.

HSPU are getting easier, I need to decrease the assistance a bit.
Ring dips likewise, but still hard.

Push-ups after the other two are a disaster as always.

My least favorite hero workout, but the one I need the most.

JT

21-15-9
HSPU
Ring dips
Push-ups.

I used about every sub in the book for that one.
HSPUs started out piked with my feet on a 5foot surface. Next round my arms had gotten longer or there was very localised subsidence right where I was putting my head because I kept going sown and down and when I'd gone as far as I could I still hadn't touched the ground. So feet at 5foot became feet on a 12inch plyo box sitting on the back porch. About 20inches?

Dips started as very short range full dips, became jumping negatives and finished as beginners ring dips.

Push-ups stayed as full push-ups, but, broken is inadequate. Splintered? Maybe even powdered, is closer.

I hate JT with a passion. No, not true. I hate how badly I do JT.
It hits all the things I'm worst at. But doing it makes me better for the WODs that have those things mixed with things I don't totally suck at.
It's a great WOD, I just can't do it.

Long J.T.

I scaled it waaaaay back to:
15 HSPU, knees on a 2 drawer filing cabinet
15 ring dips with feet on the same filing cabinet and the bottom of
the rings level with the top of the filing cabinet
15 push-ups. Didn't really have a use for the filing cabinet for those.

I have no idea of the time. Not very long

This was "a can I do it" workout, not a "how fast can I do it" workout. I can and by Sunday I'll know if would be able to do it twice. If I can I plan to to a baby version of "Kaybel" on Sunday and
then it's back to WODs on Tuesday.

Now to figure out what I can do about my ankle. :-(

J.T.

Puppies:
15
Handstand push-ups to 4 Auckland phone books - 200mm - 8inches
Jumping ring dips
Push ups

12-10 Yes, I know it should have been 9, but I did 10. No I don't know why.
Pike press
Jumping ring dips
Push ups

17:30

Knocked a minute off, but it was still ugly.
Next time I'm to go to dumbbell presses as soon as I fail to hit the depth marker for HSPUs. Pike presses are too easy to cheat at.
I tried to do real ring dips, I really did!
Push-ups were better than last time, although like the last run for
"Murphy", there's a long way between better and good.

I'm doomed to stay on Puppies for this one for the rest of my natural life.

Last time

Puppy
15-12-9
Pike press - feet elevated
Ring dips - 4 reps of the first round full, the rest jumping
Push ups

18:28

Well that was yuck.

If the WOD I did yesterday played to my strengths, the only one of my weaknesses this didn't hit was running. And pull-ups. And OH squats. And.... , oh what the heck, it hit a lot of my weak points and lets leave it at that.
Skinny little arms and shoulders let me down, darn close to literally on those last pike presses.
